Accessibility Shield is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone, including people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for all visitors and apply the relevant accessibility standards across accessibilityshield.org.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
accessibilityshield.org strives to conform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Measures Taken to Support Accessibility
We take the following measures to ensure accessibility across our platform:
- Deploying our native, lightweight assistive feedback widget for real-time reporting.
- Continuous automated audits using Axe-Core and Playwright during development and CI.
- Full keyboard accessibility, visible focus rings, and skip-to-content navigation links.
- Adherence to semantic HTML5 standards, ARIA roles, and accessible contrast ratios.
- Support for high contrast, dark mode, and reduced motion system preferences.
