By using Accessibility Shield, you agree to use the service lawfully and to these terms.

The service

Accessibility Shield provides accessibility feedback, statements, scanning, reporting, and monitoring tools. Features may vary by plan and may change as the service develops.

No legal guarantee

Accessibility Shield is a software and documentation tool, not a law firm, accessibility certification body, or substitute for professional legal or accessibility advice. A scan, statement, widget, or score does not guarantee compliance, prevent a lawsuit, or guarantee a particular legal result. You remain responsible for your website and accessibility decisions.

Your responsibilities

You must own or be authorized to scan each website you add. Do not use the service to scan private systems, attack systems, upload unlawful content, or interfere with another person’s service.

Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed through Polar. Subscription cancellation, renewal, invoices, and payment methods are managed through the Polar customer portal.

Availability and limits

We work to keep the service available, but do not promise uninterrupted operation or error-free scan results. We may suspend access to protect the service or investigate abuse.
