Fix buttons with no text in WordPress
Give icon buttons a label in the block, theme, or plugin that adds them.

- Check the sample element in your dashboard to find the button (menu toggle, search, slider arrows, chat, or cookie banner buttons are common).
- Button blocks: make sure the button has text. If it's icon-only, add text and visually hide it, or use the block's label option if your theme provides one.
- Navigation block menu toggle and Search block: update WordPress and your theme; recent versions label these.
- Plugins (sliders, popups, chat widgets): update the plugin and check its settings for accessibility or label options. If there are none, report it to the plugin author.
- Custom theme buttons need an
aria-labeladded in the template. Use the "Copy prompt" button for your developer.
Check it: publish your change, then run a new scan from your dashboard. The issue should drop off the list.
