Fix low color contrast in Squarespace
Edit your palette or the section color theme that has the failing text.
Checked against Squarespace's help docs on . Menu names can change; the source links below have the latest steps.
- Open Site styles, expand Colors, and click Edit palette. Change the swatch that's used for the failing text or background, using the passing hex code from your Accessibility Shield dashboard.
- To change one kind of text (for example paragraphs or buttons), open the color theme your section uses under Colors, click the matching tweak, and pick a new color. This updates every section that uses that theme.
- If a single section fails, edit that section, open Colors, and pick a color theme with better contrast.
- Text colors set in a text block's toolbar override the theme. Check those blocks too.
These steps are for version 7.1 sites. On version 7.0, colors are site-wide tweaks under Site styles.
