Fix low color contrast in WordPress
Change the color in your theme's global styles, or in the block that fails.
Checked against WordPress's help docs on . Menu names can change; the source links below have the latest steps.
- Block themes (Twenty Twenty-Four and newer): go to Appearance > Editor > Styles, open Colors, and change the text, link, button, or background color that fails.
- Classic themes: go to Appearance > Customize and look for a Colors panel. Some themes put colors under their own theme options page.
- Paste the passing hex code from your Accessibility Shield dashboard into the color picker and save.
- If one block is the problem (for example a colored button or a cover image with text), select that block in the editor, open its Styles settings, and change its text or background color.
- Page builders like Elementor or Divi keep their own global colors. Change the color there so every page updates.
