Set the page language in Webflow

Set your primary locale's language in the Localize panel.

Checked against Webflow's help docs on 2026-10-09. Menu names can change; the source links below have the latest steps.

  1. Open the Localize panel and go to Locales.
  2. Choose the language (and optionally the country) for your primary locale, then save your changes. Webflow sets the lang attribute from it.
  3. On older sites without Localize, look under Site settings > General > Localization for the language code field.
  4. Publish the site.

Check it: publish your change, then run a new scan from your dashboard. The issue should drop off the list.
