Add alt text to images in Webflow
Set it once per asset in the Assets panel, then override where needed.

- Open the Assets panel (press J), hover over an image, open its settings, and choose Descriptive. Type a short description and save.
- For decorative images (dividers, gradients), choose Decorative instead so screen readers skip them.
- To change the text for one placement, select the image on the canvas, open its Image settings, and use the Alt text dropdown.
- CMS images, components, and Lightbox media aren't checked by Webflow's Audit panel, so review those by hand. For CMS items, add an alt text field to the collection and bind it.
- Publish the site.
Check it: publish your change, then run a new scan from your dashboard. The issue should drop off the list.
