Add labels to form fields in Shopify
Most missing labels come from the theme's newsletter or search form.

- Look at the affected page and sample element in your dashboard. Newsletter signup boxes, the search box, and the contact form are the usual places.
- First, check the section settings in Online Store > Themes > Customize. Some themes have a heading or label setting for the newsletter field.
- If there's no setting, the label is missing in the theme code. In Online Store > Themes, click ... > Edit code, find the section file (for example
newsletterorfooter), and add a label tied to the input:

- Not comfortable editing code? Send the sample element from your dashboard to your theme developer, or use the "Copy prompt" button for a developer or AI coding tool.
- Updating to the latest version of your theme sometimes fixes this.
Check it: publish your change, then run a new scan from your dashboard. The issue should drop off the list.
