Add labels to form fields in WordPress
Turn labels on in your form plugin, or fix the theme's search and signup forms.

- Find the form in your dashboard's sample element: it's often a contact form, a newsletter box, or the search form.
- Form plugins (Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, and others): open the form and make sure every field has a Label. If the plugin has a "hide label" or "placeholder only" option, switch it off, or use its screen-reader-only label option.
- Search block: select it in the editor and make sure the label is turned on (you can visually hide it in some themes).
- Theme forms (a newsletter box built into the theme): check the theme options first. If there's no setting, ask the theme developer, or have a developer add a
<label for="...">tied to the input'sid. - Newsletter plugins (Mailchimp and others) often have a "show labels" setting in their form editor.
Check it: publish your change, then run a new scan from your dashboard. The issue should drop off the list.
